Step By Step Challenge
This May 1st 2021, join Ballymanus GAA in their 24-hour Step By Step Challenge in aid of #talktotom. Join this incredible initiative and step alongside 8 other wonderful Wicklow sports clubs who will be teaming up to help raise funds for mental health supports in the Garden County. Annacurra GAA, Aughrim GAA, Carnew Emmets, Knockananna GAA, Shillelagh-Coolboy GAA, Kiltegan GAA, Tinahely LGFA, and Arklow United will all be taking part during the 24-hour period between May 1st and 2nd – all socially distanced and within their personal 5km limits. Just because we are apart doesn’t mean we can’t unite together.
Nine of County Wicklow’s sports clubs have so far teamed up to help raise funds for Mental Health Supports in County Wicklow and we are appealing to all the many sports club across the county to sign up alongside those already taking part to combine efforts to provide the critical supports for those struggling with mental health issues in our communities. Very few people are lucky enough to say they have not lost a friend, loved one or acquaintance to suicide so we appeal to you to get on board in honour of them and help ensure we can provide the supports needed to the people who might one day need it.
If you would like to sign up your club or represent your club to have it added to the list of clubs taking part then please get in touch. You can message us on any of our social media platforms or send us a WhatsApp message to (087) 6009012 and we will be happy to direct you to the event organisers.
