Wicklow Not Letting Disappointing Incident Distract Their Focus

The Wicklow Minor Football Management have decided not to take any further action in relation to an unsavoury incident that allegedly occurred near the end of the pulsating Electric Ireland Leinster Semi Final game between Wicklow and Kildare in Newbridge last Sunday.

In what was a fantastic game of football played in sweltering heat, both sides ended up being inseparable after 60 minutes of normal time and two further 10 minute periods of extra time in what was a thoroughly enjoyable game of football for the many spectators who attended and a game that was played in fantastic competitive spirit. Sadly however this was all slightly overshadowed by one alleged incident near the games conclusion which involved the alleged sledging and possible spitting towards an injured Wicklow player.

The Wicklow management have decided not to take any further action but would like to condemn any and all such incidents, and the alleged incident if true has absolutely no part in our game and should be stamped out. Wicklow will be primed and fully focused on tomorrow nights match and a huge support is asked to show up in massive numbers to shout on these fantastic young men in Joule Park Aughrim @7pm tomorrow evening.

If the last game is a benchmark then this should be a fantastic replay with the winners taking a spot in the Leinster Final against Meath.
