Wicklow Ladies Football Manager James Kelly and his management team have named a much changed outfit to take on Meath in Group 2 of the TG4 All Ireland Ladies Intermediate Football Championship in Ashbourne @2pm. This game is massive in the knockout stage progression hopes of both these sides as Wicklow opened with a draw on the road in Longford while Meath suffered a heavy defeat at the hands of All Ireland favourites Tipperary in their opener. Meath have had the better of our Ladies in both meetings so far this year and will see themselves as strong favourites but take those games with a pinch of salt as Wicklow are steadily getting back to full tilt and are well capable of pulling off a victory in Ashbourne as they did in Roundwood last year to dump Meath out of the Leinster Championship. Meath have some magnificent players as do Wicklow and a large home support for Meath will be likely with the Meath Camogie team also in action as part of a big double header but with a bit of luck Wicklow can come away from the Ashbourne double header as party poopers!
