Enniskerry GAA are hosting their third annual Pedal for Pieta this weekend, there are two routes available – a 40km for the Saturday rider who doesn’t want to get up too early and a tougher 80km route with an earlier start.
Registration is available on the morning at the Powerscourt Arms Hotel carpark or through eventbrite.ie until Friday evening.
The club started out with 32 cyclists in their first year and jumped massively to 82 cyclists last year which they’d love to match again if not more.
The 80km kicks off at 10am with registration opening at 9:30 and the 40km is at 11:30 with registration at 11, there will be refreshment stops on both routes and a free meal afterwards kindly sponsored by The Powerscourt Arms Hotel.
CALLING ALL SINGLE ELIGIBLE MALE RIDERS FOR SEOIN😉😍
The men’s team are heavily involved this year featuring Brendan Barton desperately pressing down on those pedals to keep up with future wife Orla Kearns for a third year running, Jack Conroy and Sophie Nolan will hopefully have upped their navigation skills and will make it back in one piece with no wrong turns and of course Seoin Talbot will be handing out her snacks and cold waters at the halfway mark whilst keeping an eye out for any potential future husband material that may be ‘riding’ around!
All sponsorship raised will be split between Enniskerry GAA Club & Pieta House suicide awareness charity.
