One of Bill Hills genuinely favourite people in Wicklow Sporting Circles, Jess Brennan, has gotten the recognition she truly deserves as she has been the named the LGFA Coach Of The Year for 2018. This lady is a one in a million kind of legend, as she gives her heart and soul to her club Blessington and to her Community and County and we are blessed to have the likes of her in this County.
Although Jess wins this award in the Coach of the Year category there are also an endless amount of categories that she would have the credentials to take home top prize, as you will find Jess not only coaching the Blessington U-12’s team but also keeping the scoreboard ticking for the Blessington Senior Ladies Team, refereeing, organising Community Events, at Committee Meetings, in the stands shouting on the Blessington Mens Teams and Wicklow Teams, minding Kids, washing jerseys, recruiting players, fundraising, doing physio for minor finals, keeping scores for Bill, in the thick of a post county final sing songs, wheres wally get togethers and plenty more places too. If it has Blessington or Wicklow in the name then Jess Brennan will not be far away and we can’t express how extremely chuffed we are for her.
THIS LADY IS A COUNTY TREASURE!
This is genuinely one of the most deserved awards that’s ever going to be issued and we hope a big crowd will head for Croke Park on the 22nd of February to give Jess a big cheer when she receives her award. Jess is also extremely great craic so her acceptance speech should be well worth the trip to HQ.
Here’s a little bit of what we managed to capture from Jess’s on field activities in 2018. There’s plenty more but we were only getting set up at the time but still her stats are impressive none the less:
Here’s a little bit of the off field activity…
