The Wicklow Darts Team have pulled off one of the most stirring comebacks as they have fought back from being 3-0 down against Kilkenny the reigning Leinster Champions to lead it at 5-4 after Shane “Logger” Byrne opened Wicklows account to make it 3-1 before Kilkenny hit an 11 dart leg to maintain there 3 game cushion but Wicklow were not throwing in the towel and a Trevor Doyle 180 paved the way to a massive morale boosting win as he made it 4-2.

Up stepped Jason Gaffney for the Garden County and cometh the man cometh the hour as he closed the gap to just the minimum with Kilkenny feeling the pressure at 4-3. Then Wicklow rolled out the artillery as Martin O Connor and James O Toole both bombarded their opponents and two wins turned the tie on its head as Wicklow went from 3-0 to 5-4 up with Kilkenny now reeling in the best of 13 semi final.

Wicklow reeled off another game to match Kilkennys to make it 6-5 but then Peter White who will be getting jiggy tonight as he landed the killer blow on the Kilkenny Cats to knock out the holders on a 7-5 score line. Take a dirty big bow lads, representing the county with great pride lads💪💙💛

Wicklow will now face reigning All Ireland Champions Meath in the final but shag them, not a bother to our lads to give them a right kick in the Nobber and take the Leinster title from the much fancied Tayto heads! Mup the Garden💪💙💛
