From Midnight on Friday the 8th of May to Midnight on Saturday the 9th of May, Ballymanus GAA Club are encouraging all players/friends & family and everyone across County Wicklow and beyond to join them in a 24hr walk/run to create awareness and support for Pieta on May 8th/9th to make a difference. Don’t worry, you don’t have to do the full 24hrs, just your own little bit, at your own pace (practising social distancing of course) whether thats 30mins; 5k or 20k. You can do it on the roads; the back lawn or around the headlands of the 5acres – whatever works for you. Ballymanus plan to kick off on midnight May 8th and finish midnight May 9th. They’ve also set a target of raising €1,500 which at the time of writing has been smashed with over twice that amount raised so far. Unfortunately we all know friends & families that have been impacted.
We would ask that everyone who can to join in with the small community of Ballymanus who have already raised a very impressive sum for a hugely worthy cause. It would be amazing to see people from all over County Wicklow joining in and doing a little walk or run and helping the cause to raise as much funding as possible for Pieta House. If available and interested, please text/whatsapp 0876739212 and they’ll send you on further details. Irrespective, please share this post and donate to support this worthy cause.
