Although Wicklow were just pipped in Carrick-On Shannon at the weekend in the Qualifiers, the performance of one Wicklow player in particular has earned him a place in the GAA.ie team of the week.

Wicklow’s number one Mark Jackson put on a display of dead ball kicking, slotting one absolute long range scud missile from all of 60 meters into the breeze and ended up Wicklow’s Top Scorer with 7 points and the games joint Top Scorer with Leitrim’s Ryan O Rourke who also had 7 points to his name. That’s not to mention the fact he kept a clean sheet in a fairly flawless display and all at the age of 20!
