With league action only a few weeks away and with a high demand for Trainers at this time of year, the Intermediate Footballers of Ballinacor have managed to swoop in the managerial market and have captured one of Rathnew and Wicklows greatest ever forwards as they have secured the services of Trevor Doyle for 2019 as they look to capture the Intermediate Football Title with the Rathnew man at the helm.
The man who made the collar up sexy, tormented many of the greatest defenders in his day with even the likes of Tomas O Se paying great tribute to his attacking prowess. Trevor was not just a capable footballer but has become a very capable and experienced manager who has trained many teams with Kiltegan’s Senior football team being his last role before this new role which sees him head up into the hills to help turn the fortunes of Ballinacor who went agonisingly close to winning the Intermediate football title in that most memorable of games with Arklow Gers who have went on to become a serious contender for the Miley Cup in 2019. The talent is undeniably there so it will be interesting to see if the new management team can get a tune from the Cors and we wish them every bit of luck for the coming season
